    B.  Information:     Federal Requirement

    No Child Left Behind Program Specific Assurances

    The LEA will provide services to eligible students attending private elementary and secondary schools in accordance with section 1120 (Participation of Children Enrolled in Private Schools), and timely, ongoing, and meaningful consultation with private school officials regarding such services.  [P.L. 107-110, Section 1112(c)(1)(E)].









    The GROVETON ISD offers career and technology education programs in Home Economics, Trade and Industrial Education, Agricultural Science/Technology and Agribusiness, and Business Education.  Admission to these programs is based on interest and aptitude, age appropriateness, and available class space. 


    It is the policy of the GROVETON ISD not to discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, or handicap in its vocational programs, services, or activities, as required by Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, as amended; Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972; and section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended.


    The GROVETON ISD will take steps to assure that the lack of English language skills will not be a barrier to admission and participation in all educational and vocational programs.
