Library Material Challenges

Groveton ISD has policies in place to allow our stakeholders to participate in the curation of library material for our students.

Parents in Groveton ISD have the ability to access library records for their student(s). To request access to student library records, including records of each time students check out or otherwise use outside the school library a library material, please complete this form.

Parents can also place restrictions on library materials that their child can check out. Parents wishing to place restrictions on their child's library materials can contact the district librarian to set this up. 

To object to specific library material, individuals within the district may contact the applicable campus principal to express this concern.

To make a formal challenge beyond the campus level, individuals must complete the Library Materials Challenge Form for a district-level request for reconsideration.
